Mental health and wellbeing

In the first instance we would always suggest that you talk to your GP if you are struggling with your mental health, who should be able to help you make the appropriate referral for support.

 

However, you can also self-refer to the Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service

 

Live Well Leeds have a list of crisis services in Leeds, for people in distress or facing a mental health crisis.

 

Leeds Mind offer free or low cost counselling, as well as befriending, suicide bereavement support, social perscribing, and support for young people.

The Market Place offer a range of services including one to one support, counselling, group-work and our drop-in available for 11-25 year olds in Leeds.

Battle Scars help those who struggle with self-harm by running easy-to-access peer support groups, with a similar group for their families, carers, and friends.

Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service, offer a range of support for women in Leeds, including counselling, casework, and group therapy.

We now offer surgeries via zoom or phone twice a month.

In certain circumstances we can offer face to face to appointments if needed.

Alex and the team also have ‘street surgeries’ around the constituency each month. If he is coming to your street you will receive a letter in advance.
