During the International Men's Day Debate I spoke about how within the framework of patriarchy, trans men and transmasculine people often face erasure and violence.
Their experiences are frequently overlooked in discussions about gender equality and male privilege. This invisibility not only marginalises their identities but also leads to increased discrimination and violence against them.
Addressing this erasure is essential for creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
By recognising the unique challenges faced by trans men and transmasculine individuals will help to dismantle the rigid structures of patriarchy that harm all genders.
