Alex Sobel MP will run the 13 mile Leeds Half Marathon on Sunday 14th May to raise money for St George’s Crypt.
With private rents and living costs soaring, thousands of people are worried about losing the roof over their heads.
This will be the first time St George’s Crypt will be a partner charity for the Leeds Half Marathon.
The Leeds Half Marathon starts 10am at Headingley Stadium and travels through Alex’s constituency, going up to Bramhope and then back to the stadium.
Please come and cheer the runners on!
Alex said:
“Having done Park run for a while now, I feel the time has come for me to take it to the next level, so I’m running the Leeds Half Marathon, raising funds for St George's Crypt in Leeds.
I am proud of the important work of St George's Crypt. Their dedication to helping vulnerable and homeless individuals in our community is truly commendable.
The range of services they offer, from providing shelter and food to offering education and employment opportunities, is a testament to their commitment to improving the lives of those in need.”
All money raised will enable St Georges Crypt to continue providing essential services to homeless and vulnerable people in Leeds, including skills training.
